Scott Tannerbaum

Scott Tannenbaum, M.D., PM&R

Medical Director

Dr. Tannenbaum has served as the hospital’s medical director since 1995. He maintains a private practice within the hospital and is an attending physician at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Tannenbaum received an undergraduate degree in biology from Brandeis University and graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Scott Tannenbaum, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.

Denise Barbera

Denise Barbera

Chief Nursing Officer

Denise joined the HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Team in May 2015. Denise has more than 30 years of nursing leadership experience in the acute care environment. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. Denise furthered her education with a master's degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. In addition, Denise completed the Wharton Nursing Leadership Program through the University of Pennsylvania.

Tisha Bell

Patricia Bell, RN, BSN, CCM

Director of Case Management

Tisha brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare continuum to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in her role as director of case management. She graduated from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1987. Her diverse background includes hospital case management, home health, utilization, disease management and managed care.

Sean Cohen

Director of Marketing Operations

Sean joined HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in November 2015. Sean brought with him more than 20 years of healthcare marketing and business development experience; 15 of which were in the Tri-County area. Sean received his education in business administration from Broward College.

Ruth Goodstein

Ruth brings more than 16 years of healthcare financial management experience to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. She graduated from Florida International University with a master’s degree in health services administration and from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.

Linda Niblett

Linda Niblett

Director of Quality

Linda brings more than 33 years of healthcare experience to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. She is a registered nurse as well as a healthcare risk manager and is certified in patient safety. She graduated from Armstrong State College in Savannah, Georgia in 1983. Her healthcare experience includes nurse management, case management, quality and risk management as well as patient safety.

Deven Silverman

Human Resources Director

Deven joined the HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital team in July 2015. Deven came with more than 10 years of human resources experience in the healthcare field. She received her bachelor's degree in healthcare administration from Florida Atlantic University.

Stacy Thomashaw

Stacy Thomashaw, MA, CCC-SLP

Director of Therapy Operations

Stacy has been employed at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital since 2005 and is a licensed speech language pathologist. Stacy is a graduate from the University of Central Florida, with a Master of Arts in communicative disorders. Stacy is certified as a board recognized swallowing specialist in swallowing (BRS-S)  from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Her specialties include the evaluation and treatment of brain injury and stroke patient populations.  She has presented on a variety of topics around the country including interpretation of Modified Barium Swallow Studies/Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies, as well as, other dysphagia/voice courses.
