Jay Reyes

Jay de los Reyes, MSHA, MBA

Chief Operating Officer

Jay has been serving as the COO of HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital since January, 2011. Before joining HealthSouth, he lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he managed the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery practices at the Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute, a 110+ multi-specialty, cardiovascular group practice that is owned by the Carolinas Healthcare System. Jay earned a master's degree in health administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has a bachelor's of business administration from Birmingham-Southern College. 

Scott Tannerbaum

Scott Tannenbaum, M.D., PM&R

Medical Director

Dr. Tannenbaum has served as the hospital’s medical director since 1995. He maintains a private practice within the hospital and is an attending physician at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Tannenbaum received an undergraduate degree in biology from Brandeis University and graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Joyce Ayala

Joyce Ayala

Director of Marketing Operations

Joyce has operated marketing departments in a variety of settings, including acute rehabilitation, acute care, pediatrics, women’s health and rehabilitation. Joyce graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work.

Tisha Bell

Patricia Bell, RN, BSN, CCM

Director of Case Management

Tisha brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare continuum to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in her role as director of case management. She graduated from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1987. Her diverse background includes hospital case management, home health, utilization, disease management and managed care.

Andrea Bloomfield

Andrea Bloomfield

Director of Quality Management

Andrea has earned the designation of certified rehabilitation registered nurse and is a diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review with a national certification in health care quality and management. Additionally, she is a licensed health care risk manager in the state of Florida. Her background in nursing is diversified, with experience in the fields of physician practice management, transplantation, health insurance and utilization management.

Omaira Riano

Omaira Diaz Riano, RN, MSN

Chief Nursing Officer

Omaira brings more than 26 years of healthcare experience to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. She graduated from Barry College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and received a master’s degree in nursing administration from the same university. Omaira has a comprehensive background in all aspects of customer service, recruitment and retention, regulatory compliance and hospital operations.

Barbara Dunkiel

Director of Human Resources

Barbara has more than 17 years of human resources experience and has served as director of human resources since 1999. She is a certified county court mediator and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Brooklyn College.

Ruth Goodstein

Ruth Goodstein

Controller

Ruth brings more than 16 years of healthcare financial management experience to HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital. She graduated from Florida International University with a master’s degree in health services administration and from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.

Cheryl Miller

Cheryl Miller

Director of Therapy Operations/National Director of Therapy Operations

Cheryl has been employed at HealthSouth Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital since 1985. She is a licensed occupational therapist, practicing in the state of Florida since 1984. A graduate of Florida International University, Cheryl is also certified in neuro-developmental treatment and sensory integration and has performed as adjunct professor at Florida International, Nova Southeastern and Barry Universities. Her specialties include the treatment of brain injury, inhibitory casting and splinting, technologies in rehabilitation and NDT.
